And Then There Was One

As I mentioned before, there were eleven siblings on my Dad's side of the family. There were six girls and five boys. Aunt Lillian passed away Monday, February 26th. This leaves only one, Aunt Nora who lives in Texas.

Aunt Lillian was 91. Uncle Tip is 95 and in remarkably good health. He still drives an automobile.

Aunt Lillian and Uncle Tip were as much like Ward and June Cleaver (Leave it to Beaver) as any couple could be. I remember as a child visiting with Uncle Tip and Aunt Lillian. She would always give me a coconut covered marshmallow cookie as a treat. These were the cookies that she packed in Uncle Tips black metal lunch box every morning before he went to work. As I recall he worked at a printing company.

They were a rare, wonderful couple that found joy and happines in each other for 70 years.
