Vacation Bible School is one thing that has remained fairly constant over the years. Even though it has changed somewhat, there are still the familiar elements that I remember as a child. Things like the processional, the pledges, cookies and Kool Aid, and crafts. A few things have changed. It is now held at night instead of the morning time. It is now one week not two weeks.
The kids who attend seem to have a wonderful time. It is the one time of the year when they are the center of attention.
My job over the years has become rather simple. I am no longer in charge. We now have wonderfully talented people who do a great job with VBS. My job is to simply walk around an take pictures.
