Uncle Claudie

My post of February o2, The Uncle I Never Knew tells about the untimely death of my Uncle Claudie. Until this past week I believed that I had never even seen a picture of him. However, I realized that the picture that I had mistakenly labeled as Uncle Amos and Aunt Mary is in fact my Uncle Claudie and his new bride, Arlene Brown Rader. They had been married only a week when he drowned. I was able to positively identify the picture while at the funeral of my Aunt Lillian this week. If you read my post of February 20, 2006 you will recall that I have the pocket watch that once belonged to Uncle Claudie. He had hidden in under a tree root before going swimming in the river. It was my Dad who later found the watch.

I am glad to finally be able to attach a picture to the name and to the history of the watch.
